The event included cultural performances by M D Creationz, Prathija Prem, Radhika Gore, Rashi Thapar and Zind Performing Academy.
M D Creationz
M D Creationz was started in 2013 by Meenakshi, located in the Washington, DC region.
As a passionate dancer and performer, herself, Meenakshi’s dream was to bring together, the best and most talented dancers, showcasing them all around the DMV.
Their company provides dancers that will perform for a variety of events from weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, festivals, live concerts, and more! They specialize in Bollywood, Kathak, and Classic Mujra styles of dance.
Prathija Prem
Prathija Prem is a 25-year-old young woman, who first got her start in music with the piano at the young age of six and she was classically trained throughout grade school. Then, she was introduced to Carnatic singing at the age of 13. She did her first cover on YouTube at the age of 14 which was “Hey Soul Sister.” She got hooked and continued to make acoustic covers with her piano.
This past year, she has started working on her own music by producing her first EP called “Möbius Löve,” which can be found on Spotify and Apple Music.
For Prathija, writing her own music is really a way to vent out her emotions. She wants to continue making more music and eventually come out with a full-fledged album next year. Her goal is to also eventually have a mini-tour with other artists and to keep creating music for the rest of her life!
Radhika Gore
Radhika Gore is a musician and dancer based in Maryland. She currently studies music education at the University of Miami in Florida and is a classical voice principle. Radhika hopes to continue to spread happiness through the arts by becoming a teacher; art is one of the most beautiful forms of human expression.
Rashi Thapar
Rashi is a dancer, actress, and performer based in Maryland. She’s been dancing for many years with groups like Maryland Dhoom and taught with BEND It Like Bollywood. Dancing and acting are her passions and her greatest happiness is getting people to feel emotions through her performances.
Zind Performing Academy
With locations in Sterling-VA, Silver Spring-MD, and Nottingham-MD, Zind Builds Confident leaders through the Art of Indian Dance.
ZIND is short for the Urdu word Zindagi meaning “life.” Dance teaches us many valuable life lessons that shape our students into being the leader of his/her life.
They are looking to implement those same leadership skills in our students’ curriculum.
