Since formally being launched in December 2018, DCWaleDesi has grown to become the largest inclusive community platform supporting and connecting creative South Asians in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
On December 1, 2019, over 150 members of the community joined us at the Atrium by SILK MD – Restaurant & Banquet Hall for a night of fun!
The evening included community awards, a fashion show, cultural performances, food and drinks, the launch of our apparel line, an open dance floor with DJ, a red carpet and a cake-cutting.
